Jon Roe is a hard working man who seeks to leave the world behind a little better than when he came into it. Jon is a life long Delawarean of 41 years. His upbringing was a tumultuous one in Wilmington’s west side. In 2001 he graduated from John Dickinson High School and soon after began working as a custodian for red clay school district. Jon uses lessons learned in life to help people around the world.
Now as a union electrician he contributes to almost all aspects of Delaware’s working population and the working people in other parts of the country. Some notable jobs include The Women and Infants Tower at Christiana Hospital, The Sun Oil Catalytic cracking plant in Beaver, Pennsylvania the largest job in North America at the time, and a 1,000,000 sq ft Facebook data center in Richmond Virginia. Jon has done comprehensive electrical work in the Banking sector, healthcare, manufacturing, and the energy sector. this gives him a unique perspective on a broad array of the inner workings of various industries in and around Delaware.
Jon continues to endeavor in making legitimate contributions where help is needed the most. And as state senator he seeks to do that exactly. Jon has worked tirelessly to help Venezuelans in the crisis feed their children by working overtime jobs in a good paying union career and even at times picking up short term second jobs to maintain assistance to children and families in need. Very particular and more comprehensive lessons are learned about necessity when a person goes without the things that are needed. In the richest country that has ever existed these tend to be lessons rarely learned. there are some good things and bad things about that. But learning the harder lessons about the needs we all poses produces a deeper wisdom that would serve an individual well if that individual is in a position to govern.
Jon Roe has no experience in government. though this may have an appeal to some voters, its life the experience and the endeavor to find what is right rather than who is right that qualifies Jon Roe for state office in Delaware.
